Pension Adalat has been constituted by the Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority at High Court Complex, with effect from 22-02-2002. The Director of Pension has been nominated as the Nodal Officer for the Pension Adalat. The Adalat meeting is held every month. The Director of Pension or Joint Director participate in the Lok Adalat and assist the Legal Services Authority.
Meetings conducted in co-ordination with the Hon’ble High Court of Madras and majority of Pensioners cases are settled by mutual binding.
The District Collectors conduct state Govt. servants and Teacher Pensioners’ Grievances Day Meeting once in four months in their districts. The Director or Joint Director and Deputy Director attends these meetings, hear the grievances of Pensioners, issue instructions to the Departmental officers, guidelines and clarifications in the expeditious disposal of such grievance petitions in the Districts and thus settle the grievances through the District Collectors. So far more than 1000 pension Grievances meetings are held and all petitions received in the meetings were settled.
