This Government emphasizes the implementation of various welfare schemes aimed at creating a conducive environment for the social, educational and economic development of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Denotified Communities and Minorities at the grassroot level of the society.
2. Various welfare schemes are being implemented in order to provide opportunities for the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Denotified Communities and Minorities to uplift their status in areas such as Education / Employment to achieve equal status with other sections of the society in all walks of life. Such programs, which bring about a renaissance and hope in the lives of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Denotified Communities and Minorities are implemented by the three Directorates i.e., the Directorate of Backward Classes Welfare, the Directorate of Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare and the Directorate Minorities Welfare.
3. The reservation policy, which has been implemented in Tamil Nadu for many years, has made a significant contribution to the socio-educational and economic status of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Denotified Communities and Minorities by enrolling them in higher education institutions and gaining employment in the Government and Public sector.
