The Chowk Maidan dharga opposite to town hall was constructed in 1736 A.D. for the prayer of the Muslim soldiers by Rani Mangamal. During the same time, the Alli diwan Masjid at Beema Nagar was constructed. During the period of Arcot Nawab the Muhamadiya Musjid-Hansbagh Masjid opposite to Teppakulam tank, and Ameer Masjid at Beerangi Kulam have been constructed.
