The major
objectives of the department are the following:-

Efficient delivery of all its
services to the citizens;

Maximizing revenue to the
Government by ensuring that all taxes and fees on vehicles are collected
without any leakage;

Promoting Road Safety and
providing relief to the victims of road accidents;
o
Controlling vehicular pollution.
