The Activities of the Division:
Preparation of Annual Plan
Addressing the Heads of Departments for necessary details, Scrutinising the Part I proposals received from the departments, Collecting details from the Heads of Departments as per UPC formats for Annual Plan.
Arriving at sectoral outlays for the Annual Plan based on the Part I and Part II details and writing the sectoral profiles (relating to PC Division) and highlights of the Annual Plan.
Preparing the draft Annual Plan document based on the inputs received from the Divisions in SPC and forwarding the draft to Government for onward transmission to UPC.
Preparing background papers for the discussion between Hon'ble C.M. and Deputy Chairman, UPC for finalizing the Annual Plan in consultation with Heads of Divisions in SPC.
Addressing the Secretaries to Government for Part II (New) Schemes
Identification of Part II schemes relating to PC Division.
Preparing Appraisal notes for the Part II discussion
Organising Part II Discussions under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Vice Chairman, State Planning Commission With the Secretaries to Government along with the Heads of Departments.
Consolidating the Part II minutes from all the Divisions and forwarding the same to the Government in PD&SI Department and Finance Department.
Preparation of 12th Five Year Plan
Coordinating the divisions for the preliminary works for the 12th Five Year Plan – Preparing Base paper for the 12th Plan containing the present status of each sector - Sectoral and Schemewise analysis.
Coordinating the Divisions for the preparation of the Approach Paper for the 12th Plan.
Making arrangements to convene Informal Meeting among the Members of SPC as and when necessary.
Preparation of common guidelines for the constitution of Steering Committees and Working Groups – Identification of Members and Terms of Reference.
Making arrangements to convene the Full Commission meeting as and when necessary (For getting approval from the Hon’ble Chief Minister/Chairman, SPC for the Approach paper to the 12th Plan, etc.,).
Organizing Regional level consultations for preparing the 12th Plan.
Preparation of Sectoral chapters relating to Plan Coordination Division for the 12th Plan.
Coordinating the divisions for the preparation of Draft 12th Five Year Plan document
After approval by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, making arrangements for printing the 12th Plan Document.
- Meetings in State Planning Commission
Making arrangements for convening Full Commission and Informal Meeting among the Members as and when necessary.
