The Sectors dealt in this Division are:
- Medical
- Public Health
- Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and
Other Backward Classes
- Social Welfare
- Nutrition
- Other Social and Community Services.
Division Activities:
- Preparation of Five Year Plans - At present the preparation of 12th Five Year Plan is under Progress,
- Preparation of Annual Plans - Appraisal of Part II (New) Schemes, Finalization of scheme-wise outlays (Part 1 and Part II),
- Preparation of Sectoral profiles and Statements such as financial, physical, women component, Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan, Tribal Sub Plan etc.,
- The Division will update the data viz. (India and State) population, Sex-ratio, Juvenile Sex Ratio, Literacy Rate, Health Indicators, tc.
- Activities taken under National Rural Health Mission will be reviewed - comprehensive health check up programme, reproductive child health services,
- Preparation of Compendium of Major Schemes - including EAP, Centrally Sponsored Schemes, flagship schemes, which have sizeable outlay,
- The Division will also analyse the reports received from experts / Evaluation and Applied Research Department and other departments,
- The necessary follow up action will be taken based on the analysis,
- Preparing agenda of meetings, convening meetings and take the follow-up actions.
- Preparing base paper for the high level committee meetings for Scheduled Caste Sub Plan and Tribal Sub Plan
