Government in their G.O.Ms.No.467, Finance (CMPC) Department, dated 26.11.2001 have constituted a One-Member Commission called "The Staff and Expenditure Reforms Commission" and ordered that Dr.A.M.Swaminathan, IAS (Retd), a former Finance Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu will constitute the One-Man Commission. 

Public are invited to offer their suggestions  for consideration by the Commission. These suggestions may be broadly on the following categories:-

(i)        To improve the efficiency of the State Government at the headquarters and field levels

 

(ii)    To reduce the administrative expenditure of the State Government

 

(iii)        To make the inter-face of the public with the State Government more people friendly.

 

(iv)       To suggest functions at present discharged by the State Government which can be allowed to be handled by private agencies and non-Governmental voluntary organisations without loss of any benefit to the public.

 

(v)        To offer any other suggestion relevant to the terms of reference for the Commission.
