Hon'ble CM handed over a cheque for Rs. 20 lakhs to Thiru Rafath Habib, who won Gold Medal in Snooker doubles in Asian Games 2002 held in Busan, South Korea during October 2002. Hon'ble CM also handed over a cheque for Rs.3 lakhs to him for his father Thiru Syed Habib, and the Coach of Thiru Rafath Habib.
Hon'ble CM handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to Tmt. R. Kalaiselvi, W/o. Late P. Krishnan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Mathikonpalayam, Dharmapuri District, who was fatally hit by a lorry while proceeding from Dharmapuri to Krishnagiri on duty for prohibition raid on 26.10.2002.
