ORDER:-

In order to ensure that sports are given its due importance in the schools, Government have decided to introduce a Grading system for all the schools in the State as far as sports facilities are concerned. The Grading System will indicate the availability of playing facilities. Schools that have all the playing facilities will be given Grade ‘A’ and those not having any playing facilities will be graded ‘F’. ‘B’ to ‘E’ will indicate the level to which playing facilities are available. All schools will be required to display the grading on their Name Boards at the school gate.

2. Accordingly, Government direct that Grading system be introduced in school as follows :

3. The Government also direct that the schools which have the following sports and playground facilities be classified as High Profile Elite Category :

4. The courts/play fields should be in good playing condition. The schools themselves are to display the category that they fit into and this is subject to Inspection from the School Education Department officials who are empowered to inspect the play field facilities at any point of time and verify the Categories displayed. All schools should display the grading on their Name Boards at the School Gate as follows:

"SPORTS FACILITIES – ‘A’ Grade (or) whichever is applicable"

5. Necessary guidelines in this regard will be issued by the School Education Department separately.
