In the Government Order read above, orders were issued for the implementation of "Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners' Family Security Fund Scheme to the State Government Pensioners and Teacher Pensioners. 2. The Government after careful consideration, direct that the orders issued in the Government Order above be extended to the erstwhile Tamil Nadu State Transport Department Pensioners, who are getting monthly pension for their Government service, rendered prior to their permanent absorption in State Transport Undertakings and havesubsequently retired on attaining the age of superannuation after their permanent absorption in the State Transport Undertakings. In respect of the erstwhile Tamil Nadu State Transport Department Pensioners who are still in service in the State Transport Undertakings,the said benefit shall be allowed only from the date of their actual retirement on attaining the age of superannuation from the State Transport Undertakings. 3. I am, therefore, directed to request you to take action accordingly and to ensure the eligibility criteria as aforesaid while sanctioning the payment as ordered in the Government Order cited. 4.This letter issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.62548/Pen/97-1 dt.8.8.97.
