ORDER;

In the Government Order first and second read above, the Government have formulated pension scheme to Temple Poojaris in Tamil Nadu. The Government have also sanctioned a sum of Rs.500/- per month as pension under the said scheme.

2) The Government have now decided to enhance the monthly pension amount of Rs.500/- to Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only) to Village Temple Poojaris under the above pension scheme.

3) The Government accordingly enhance the monthly pension, payable under the Tamil Nadu Temple Poojaris pension scheme, to Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) per month with effect from 16.11.2005. The expenditure shall be debited to the following head of account:-

"2250 00- Other Social Services – 800 Other expenditure – I Non-Plan – AV Pension to Temple Poojaris – 27 Pensions – 05 Social Security pension (D.P.Code 2250 00 800 AV 2755)

4) The expenditure is on ‘New Instrument of Service’ and included in the Final Supplementary Estimates for 2005-06. Necessary additional funds have been provided in the Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06. The Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 3 above.

5) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department -vide its U.O.No. D/DS(PGR)/2006, dated 14.2.2006.
