ORDER:

In the Government Orders first to fourth read above, the Government have formulated pension schemes to Odhuvars, Vedaparayanars, Divyaprapandam Paduvors, Araiyars, Archagars and Isaikalaignars in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Administration Department, who retired from service on attaining the age of 60 and who served for over 20 years in any of the temples in Tamil Nadu and who are in indigent circumstances. The Government have also sanctioned a sum of Rs.300/- per month as pension under the said scheme.

2) In the Government order fifth read above the monthly pension of Rs.300/- was increased to Rs.500/- under the above pension scheme with effect from 1996-1997.

3) The Government have now decided to enhance the monthly pension amount of Rs.500/- to Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only) to the Odhuvars, Vedaparayanars, Divyaprapandam Paduvors, Araiyars, Archagar and Isaikalaignars in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Administration Department, under the above pension scheme.

4) The Government accordingly enhance the monthly pension payable under the above pension scheme to Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only)per month with effect from 16.11.2005. The expenditure shall be debited to the following heads of accounts:-

  • 2250 00- Other Social Services- 102.Administration of Religious and Charitable Endowment Act – I Non-Plan –AA Head Quarters Staff - 27.Pension - 05.Social Security pension.(D.P.Code 2250 00 102 AA 2757).

  • 2250 00- Other Social Services – 800 Other expenditure – I Non-Plan – AP Pension to Vedaparayanas – 27 Pensions – 05 Social Security Pension (D.P.Code 2250 00 800 AP 2757).

  • 2250 00- Other Social Services - 800 Other Expenditure – I Non-Plan – AQ Pension to Archagas – 27 Pensions (D.P.Code 2250 00 800 AQ 2755).

  • 2250 00- Other Social services - 800 Other Expenditure – I Non-Plan – AR Pension to Isai Kalaignars - 27 Pensions -05. Social Security Pension (D.P.Code 2250 00 800 AR 2753).

5) The expenditure is on ‘New Instrument of Service’ and included in the Final Supplementary Estimates for 2005-06. The Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 4 above.

6) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department - vide its U.O.No.13/DS(PGR)/2006, dated 14.2.2006.
