ORDER:-

The Government of India have accorded sanction in the letter first read above, for the implementation of World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project in Tamil Nadu for a period of 5 years from 1998-99 to 2003-2004 and the project period has since been extended till 31-03-2006. In the Government Order second read above, Government have issued orders accepting the Government of India’s administrative approval.

2) In the letter 4th read above the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project has reported that Government of India have conveyed no objection for the procurement of 290 numbers of computers for Rs.203 lakhs against the DGS & D rate contract i.e by following National shopping procedure and it is proposed to provide computers for all block offices in 22 Districts at an approximate cost of Rs.55,000/- for each Block Office.

3) The Project Co-ordinator, World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project has proposed for computerisation of 20 Child Development Project Offices in the districts of Thoothukudi and Perambalur under World Bank assisted ICDS III Project during 2005-2006 at a total cost of Rs.11.00 lakhs. Further, the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project has reported that this item of expenditure will qualify for full reimbursement under the World Bank credit.

4) The Government accept the proposal of the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project as approved by the Empowered Committee and pass the following orders:-

The Government approve the proposal for Computerisation and sanction a sum of Rs.11.00 lakhs (Rupees eleven lakhs only) towards purchase of computer and accessories for 20 Block Offices in the districts of Thoothukudi and Perambalur as per the technical specification shown in Annexure to this order duly following National Shopping Procedure of World Bank.

The Project Co-ordinator is permitted to procure the Computers and accessories after following World Bank procurement procedures (National Shopping Procedure) for purchase of UPS and computer and computer furniture.

The Project Co-ordinator is permitted to incur an expenditure of Rs.11.00 lakhs (Rupees Eleven lakhs only) towards the above item of work and to permit the concerned District Programme Officers to draw the amount as per Annexure-II to this order and settle the bill to the firm after installation of computers in the respective Child Development Project Offices as per rules in force.

5) The expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to :-

"2236 Nutrition 02. Distribution of Nutritious Food and Beverages – 101 Special Nutrition Programmes - Schemes in Tenth Five Year Plan – II State Plan – PD - World Bank Assisted Tamil Nadu Integrated Child Development Scheme – Project-III 76-Computer-01-Purchase" (D.P.Code 2236-02-101- PD-7615 ).

6) Necessary additional funds have been provided in FMA 2005-06 to meet out the expenditure sanction in para 4 above

7) The Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project is requested to ensure full reimbursement of the expenditure from World Bank (credit) and to send a report to the Government after completion of work without fail.

8) This order issues with the concurrence Finance Department vide its U.O.No.15456/SW/06 dated 13.3. 2006
