Read:

ORDER:-

The Government of India have accorded sanction in the letter first read above, for the implementation of World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project in Tamil Nadu for a period of 5 years from 1998-99 to 2003-2004 and the project period has been extended till 31-03-2006. In the Government Order second read above, Government have issued orders accepting the Government of India’s administrative approval.

2) In the order third read above, the Government of Tamil Nadu have declared a policy to make Tamil Nadu a Malnutrition Free State. In the said Government order, among other things, it has been ordered to carry out various activities including a massive IEC campaign through different communication activities.

3) In the letter fourth read above, the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank ICDS-III has proposed for procurement and supply of 2000 numbers Mobile Exhibition Kits for 24 Project Districts of World Bank Assisted ICDS III Project and State Project Management Unit during 2005-2006 at a total cost of Rs.12.00 lakhs. Further, the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project has reported that this item of expenditure will qualify for full reimbursement from the grant of Government of India / World Bank.

4) The Government accept the proposal of the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project as approved by the Empowered Committee and pass the following orders:-

The Government approve the proposal for procurement of Mobile Exhibition Kits and to permit the Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS III Project to procure 2000 numbers of Mobile Exhibition Kit at a cost of Rs.600 per kit as per the technical specification shown in Annexure to this order at a total cost of Rs.12.00 lakhs (Rupees Twelve lakhs only) duly following National Shopping Procedure of World Bank.

The Government accord sanction for a sum of of Rs.12.00 lakhs (Rupees Twelve lakhs only) towards the purchase of 2000 Mobile Exhibition Kits detailed above .

5) The expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to

"2236 Nutrition 02. Distribution of Nutritious Food and Beverages – 101 Special Nutrition Programmes - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan – II State Plan – PD World Bank Assisted Tamil Nadu Integrated Child Development Scheme – Project-III – 08 Advertisement and Publicity – 09 Others". (D.P.Code 2236-02-101-PD-0890)".

6) The Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project is requested to ensure full reimbursement of the expenditure from the Government of India / World Bank and to send a report to the Government after completion of the procurement without fail.

7) This order issues with the concurrence Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 12773/Sw/2006, dated 9-3- 2006.
