4) Government Lr.No. 3653/SW7/04-5 dt.11.1.2005 the implementation of the ICDS Scheme Separate accounts will be maintained for the same.

3) The Project Coordinator, World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project has furnished the list of nominations for State level and National level Awards for Anganwadi workers under ICDS for the year 2002-2003. He has also requested to sanction a sum of Rs. 2.45 lakhs (Rupees Two lakhs and forty five thousand only) at the rate of Rs.2500/- to 98 Anganwadi Workers.

4) As per the guidelines of Government of India the Selection Committee has selected the nominations of 98 Anganwadi Workers for the State Level Awards and the nomination of 5 Anganwadi Workers for the selection of the National Level Awards by the Government of India under the General ICDS and World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project. The list of nomination was forwarded to the Government of India in the Government letter fourth read above.

5) The Government after careful consideration, accept the recommendation of the Selection Committee and approved the list of 98 Anganwadi Workers under General ICDS and WB ICDS-III Project as indicated in the Annexure to this order for the State Level Award for the year 2002-2003, as per the guidelines of the Government of India. Sanction is accorded for incurring an expenditure of Rs.2.45 lakhs (Rupees Two lakhs and forty five thousand only) towards cash Award of State Level and citation for 98 Anganwadi Workers at the rate of Rs.2500/- per worker under the funds released by the Government of India for the implementation of the General ICDS scheme.

6) The Government hereby authorize the District Programme Officers concerned to draw the amount in respect of their District in advance as per the number of Anganwadi Workers indicated in the Annexure to this order under Article 99 of Tamil Nadu Financial Code, Volume-I and to incur the expenditure and to adjust the same with proper vouchers immediately after the completion of the activity within the stipulated time as prescribed in the Tamil Nadu Financial Code, Volume-I in the District Treasury Offices concerned. If any failure in the adjustment of temporary advances drawn, responsibilities shall be fixed against the official concerned for the lapse and suitable action shall be initiated by the competent authority and to report to the Government at the appropriate stage. The District Programme Officers are also directed to render relevant statement of accounts and reports to the Project Co ordinator, World Bank assisted ICDS-III Project as soon as the activity is over.

7) Necessary funds has been provided in RE 2004-2005. The Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project is requested to include the said expenditure while sending the proposals for FMA 2004-2005 to Finance (SW) Department at the appropriate stage.

8) The expenditure shall be debited to 

"2236 Nutrition - 02 Distribution of Nutritious Food and Beverages-101 Special Nutrition Programme-Schemes in the X Five Year Plan-III Centrally sponsored-SF Integrated child Development Services Schemes –Phase-III-59 Prizes and Awards (D.P.Code 2236-02-101-SF 5905)

9) The Project Co-ordinator, World Bank Assisted ICDS-III Project is requested to send the prize distribution report to the Government immediately.

10) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 170/DS(AV)/2005 dated 9-3-2005.
