ORDER:

There are 47 staff quarters in the Government Juvenile Home, Thanjavur under the Department of social Defence. One Electrial Meter is provided for all the quarters and the electricity charges are worked out on the basis of electrical points in each of the staff quarters. This procedure is causing hardship to the staff and to the administration in the matter of collecting charges. The Director of Social Defence has, therefore, requested that separate electrical meters may be installed in all the staff quarters at a total cost of Rs.2.20 lakhs during 2000-2001.

2) The Government accept the proposal of the Director of Social Defence and accord sanction for the incurring of a non-recurring expenditure of Rs.2,20,000/- (Rupees Two lakhs twenty thousand only) towards providing separate electrial meters in all the staff quarters in the of Government Juvenile Home, Thjanjavur.

3) The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above should be debited under

"4235 – Capital Outaly on Social Security and Welfare – 02 – Social Welfare – 106 – Correctional Services - Schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan- II – State Plan – JU – Buildings – 16 – Major Works"(DPC 4235 02 106 JU 1601).

6) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.33452/SW/2000 Dated 28-4-2000.
