ORDER:

Institutions for children, girls and women under the Department of Social Defence are established as per the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, 1986 and Immoral Traffic (Preventive) Act, 1956. Power Generators were provided to all the Government Juvenile/Special Homes and Government Observation Homes at Chennai in the first phase during 1998-99 tolcope up during electricity break-down. The Director of Social Defence has sent a proposal for the supply of power generator at a cost of Rs.36,000 together with Rs.0.04 lakhs towards petrolieum , oils and lubricants to the Government Vigilance Home, Chennai during 2000-2001. 100 girls and women are likely to be benefited under the scheme.

2) The Government have examined the proposals of the Director of Social Defence and accord sanction for the incurring of an expenditure of Rs.39,000 (Rupees Thirtynine thousand only) towards the supply of Power Generator for Rs.36,000/- (Rupees Thirtysix thousand only) and Petroleum Oil and Lubricants for Rs.3,000/- to the Government Vigilance Home of Chennai during the year 2000-2001.

3) The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above should be debited under

"2235 – Social Security and Welfare – 02 – Social Welfare – 106 – Correctional Services - Schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan- II – State Plan – JE – Government Approved Schools – 19 – Machinery and Equipments and 45- Petroleum Oil and Lubricants"(DPC 2235 02 106 JE 1901).

6) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.33454/SW/2000 Dated 2-5-2000.
