No.39 Read : From the DSW lr.No.22096 / NMP / 07 dt.11-5-2007 --------- ORDER: The Director of Social Welfare has stated that NMP Unit in the districts is dealing with all the matters relating to rural school centres. In order to prepare and send weekly, monthly progress reports, preparation of budget estimates, revised estimates and number statements, reconciliation etc., provision of computers with accessories is absolutely necessary. Moreover, the scheme has to be administered by a very close monitoring and strict supervision and this will be facilitated if the officers of the PA (NMP)s are provided with computers, as a step in introducing e-governance in this scheme also. 2. The Director of Social Welfare has sent a proposal to Government for provision of 30 computers with accessories to the officers of the nutritious meal programme in the districts at a cost of Rs.14,75,000/- (Rupees fourteen lakh seventy five thousand only) under Part-II Scheme for 2007-2008. The Standing Finance Committee has also approved the scheme. 3. After careful examination, the Government accord sanction of expenditure of Rs.14,75,000/- (Rupees fourteen lakhs and fifteen thousand only) as non-recurring expenditure for provision of 30 computers with accessories to the officers of the Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department looking after nutritious meal programme in the districts under Part-II Scheme for 2007-2008. 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above may be debited into the following head of account :- 2236 Nutrition 02 Distribution of Nutritious Food and Beverages 102 Mid Day Meals II State Plan KL Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Nutritious Meal Programme for children of the age group 5 to 9 76 Computer and Accessories 01 Purchase - 03 - Stationary (DPC No.2236 02 102 KL 7603) 5. The Director of Social Welfare is permitted to draw the amount sanctioned in para-3 above for the provision of computers with accessories to all the districts incurring an expenditure of Rs.14,75,000/- (Rupees fourteen lakhs seventy five thousand only) . 6. The Director of Social Welfare and the District Collectors are instructed to follow the purchase procedures in force without any deviation. 7. District Collectors shall maintain a Register of Immovable properties and such other records as prescribed in the Rules. 8. The Director of Social Welfare is instructed to Utilize the amount sanctioned in para-3 above and furnish the Utilization Certificate to Government early. 9.This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.33166/SW/07-1 Dated : 28-05-2007.
