ORDER:

The Director of Social Welfare has sent a proposal for construction of 142 kitchen-cum-store room in nutritious meal centres at a cost of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) per centre under Part – II Scheme for 2007-08.

2. After careful examination, the Government accord sanction of expenditure of Rs.85,00,000/- (Rupees eighty five lakhs only) for construction of kitchen-cum-store room in 142 nutritious meal centres at a cost of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) per centre in 18 districts as detailed below under Part-II Scheme for the year 2007-08 :-

3. The Director of Social Welfare is permitted to implement the scheme of construction of kitchen-cum-store room in 142 nutritious meal centres at a cost of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) per centre in 18 districts incurring an expenditure of Rs.85,00,000/- (Rupees eighty five lakhs only) as detailed in para-2 above.

4. The Director of Social Welfare is permitted to redistribute the amount sanctioned in para-3 above among the districts based on their requirements.

5. The District Collectors shall maintain a Register of Immovable properties and such other records as prescribed in the Rules.

6. The Director of Social Welfare / District Collector are instructed to Utilize the amount sanctioned in para-3 above and furnish the Utilization Certificate to Government early.

7. The expenditure sanctioned in para-2 above may be debited into the following head of account :-

4236 – Capital Outlay on Nutrition – 02 – Distribution of Nutritious Food and Beverages – 800 – Other Expenditure –Schemes under Eleventh Five Year Plan – III – Centrally Sponsored Schemes – SC – National Programme of Nutritional Support to Primary Education ( Mid-day Meal scheme) – Construction of kitchen – cum-store 16 . Major Works (DPC 4236 02 800 SC 1605)

8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.31609/SW/07 dated 28-05-2007.
