ORDER

In the Government order first read above, Government approved the appointment of five counsellors on monthly honorarium of Rs. 3,500  per month  through  Non Governmental Organizations to provide counselling services to children in distress who are placed in Government Observation Homes, Children's Homes and Special Homes.

2. Accordingly, in the Government order second read above, orders were issued recognizing the NGO and academic institutions  for imparting Counselling Services to  the inmates of the Homes functioning at Vellore, Coimbatore, Thanjavur, Trichy and Thirunelveli on consolidated pay.

3. In the Government order third read above Government have issued orders or the further continuance of the scheme for the year 2005-2006 through NGOs to provide counselling services to the children in distress who are placed in Government Observation Homes, Children's  Homes and Special Homes

4. The Commissioner of Social Defence has requested to accord sanction for the further continuance of the scheme for the year 2006 - 2007 and to incur a recurring expenditure of Rs. 2./10 lakhs (Rupees Two lakhs and ten thousand only) for counselling services through NGOs by providing honorarium at the rate of Rs 3,500/- per month for 5 counsellors (i.e.  Rs 3500x 5x12= Rs 2,10,000)

5. The Government after careful examination sanction for further continuance of the scheme for the year 2006 - 2007 and to incur recurring expenditure of Rs 2.10. lakhs (Rupees two lakhs and ten thousand only) for counselling services through Non Governmental Organisations,

6, The expenditure shall be debited to the following head of account

"2235 Social Security and Welfare - 02 Social Welfare - 106 Correctional Services - ! Non Plan -AD Approved Schools - 09 Grant - in -aid-01 Grants for current expenditure (D.P. Code No 2235 -02  106-AD – 0912)

7.This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O. No. 68353/SW/2006 , Dated 21.11.2006
