ORDER:

In the Government Order first read above, the Government have ordered implementation of New Anna Marumalarchi Thittam to start agro based, food processing Industries in 385 blocks with minimum capital investment of Rs.1 Crore and above and sanctioned special package of concessions i.e. Capital Subsidy, Generator subsidy, Low Tension Power Tariff subsidy and Additional Capital Subsidy for units employing more than 50% women.

2. The State Level Monitoring Committee on New Anna Marumalarchi Thittam in its fourth meeting held on 9.10.03 has decided among other things to sanction Low Tension Power Tariff subsidy of 30%, 20%, 10% energy charges in the first, second and third year respectively from the date of commencement of production or date of power connection whichever is later to all the SSI units set up under New Anna Marumalarchi Thittam, though they have availed capital subsidy from various Ministries / Departments of Government of India.

3. Based on the above decision, the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce in his letter second read above has requested the Government to issue orders sanctioning Low Tension Power Tariff subsidy also to the SSI units set up under New Anna Marumalarchi Thittam who have availed Capital Subsidy from various Ministries / Departments of Government of India.

4. The proposal of the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce has been examined in detail and Government accept the same.

The following amendments are issued to G.O.Ms.No.32, Small Industries (Dev.1) Department, dated 28.6.2002.

AMENDMENT - I

The following shall be added in the existing  para 4(b) of G.O.Ms.No.32, Small Industries (Dev.1) Department, dated 28.6.2002.

  “This subsidy will be available for units which have availed of capital subsidy for the project from the Government of Tamil Nadu or the  Government of India/Agency of Government of India. “

AMENDMENT - II

The following shall be added in the existing  para 4(k) of G.O.Ms.No.32, Small Industries (Dev.1) Department, dated 28.6.2002.

The second sentence in para 4(k) shall be read as:

“The entrepreneur will have the option to choose between the State and Central Capital subsidy to avoid duplication.” 

 

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.228/FS/P/07 dated 24.1.2007.
