Small Industries - Part II Schemes 2004-05 - Coir Exposure tour to Kerala to study the Manufacture of value added coir products - State Government’s share of Rs.1.00 lakh - sanctioned.

ORDER:

Coir Board has proposed to conduct Exposure Tours for the entrepreneurs in coir industry and concerned Government officials to Coir Producing Centres in Kerala at an expenditure of Rs.2.00 lakhs. The expenditure will be equally shared by the Coir Board, Kochi and the State Government. The Coir Board has proposed to organise 4 Tours for the entrepreneurs in Tamilnadu during 2004-2005. The tour will be programmed to the Coir Clusters in Kerala for a week by hiring bus which will cost Rs.50,000/. Other expenses like boarding and lodging shall be borne by the entrepreneurs. This will enable the entrepreneurs to have first hand information and knowledge about the coir industrial units in Kerala especially in the manufacture of value added products.

2. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce in his letter read above has among others sent proposal for sanction of Rs.1.00 lakh for four tours at the rate of Rs.25,000/- per tour towards State Government’ share under Part II Schemes 2004-05. The details of expenditure for the exposure tour will be furnished to the State Government by the Coir Board.

3. The Government after careful examination have decided to accept the proposal of Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce in para 2 above.

4. Sanction is accorded for incurring an expenditure not exceeding Rs.1.00 lakh (Rupees One lakh only) for four exposure tours to Kerala to study the manufacture of value added coir products.

5. The expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to the following head of account:

"2851 00 Village and Small Industries 106 Coir Industries Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan II State Plan IC Assistance for Exposure Tour to Coir Entrepreneurs 09 Grants in - Aid 03 Grants for specific Schemes (DP Code No.2851 00 106 JC 0939)"

6. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce is authorised to draw and disburse the amount to the Coir Board which is arranging the tours.

7. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.28166/Ind/2004-1, Dated: 26.4.04.
