G.O.(Ms).No.20 Dated:26.3.2002 Read: G.O.Ms.No.25 Small Industries dated 10.7.2001. From the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce Lr.No. 57804/ICM2/2001 dated 20.9.2001 and 10.10.2001. ORDER: In the G.O.first read above, orders were issued for sale of 200 MT of Indco made tea in the name of "Ooty" through Public Distribution System and Cooperative Public Distribution System Outlets. 2. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce in his letter 2nd read above has stated that, to make this scheme a grand success and to augment the quantity it is necessary to undertake promotional campaign so that, the public at large are aware of the product. It has been stated that the awareness campaign will be a pulling factor in the sale of the product. As the sale of "Ooty Tea" through Public Distribution System is a pioneering effort of the Indcoserve, the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce has requested the Government to sanction funds to meet the advertisement charges. 3. The Government after careful consideration sanction a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-(Rupees ten lakhs only) to meet the expenditure towards advertisement of "Ooty Tea". 4. The amount sanctioned in paragraph 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:
5. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce is the estimating, reconciling and controlling authority for the above new head of account. 6. The Pay and Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer concerned is requested to open the above new Head of account in the accounts. 7. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce is authorized to draw and disburse the amount to INDCOSERVE sanctioned in the paragraph 3 above. 8. The expenditure will constitute an item of new service and the approval of the Legislature will be obtained by including the above expenditure in the Final Supplementary Estimates 2001-2002. Pending approval of the Final Supplementary Estimates 2001-2002 by the Legislature, the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce is authorised to incur the above expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 3 above. The Pay and Accounts officer / Treasury Officer concerned is directed to admit the bill when presented by the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce if the bills are otherwise found to be in order, pending provision of the above amount in Final Supplementary Estimates 2001-2002. The Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce is requested to send necessary proposals to Government in Finance Department to include this expenditure in Final Modified Appropriation/Final Supplementary Estimates 2001-2002. 9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.19/DS(Per)/02 dated 26.3.2002 and Additional Sanction Ledger No.892.
