ORDER;-
In the G.O. first read above orders were issued prescribing rules of Procedures for recruitment of B.T/P.G. Teachers in Government High / Higher Secondary Schools . Subsequently, orders with certain modification of rules procedures were also issued in Government letters third read above directing the Teachers Recruitment Board to adopt the ratio 1 : 1 instead of 1 : 2 ratio to the recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants for the year 2002-2003.
2. The Chairman, Teachers Recruitment Board in his D.O. letter No.1669/A3/2002 has stated that he has begun the preparation of recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants for the year 2002-2003 not only for the Schools under the control of Directorate of School Education but also for the Higher Secondary Schools under the control of Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Kallar Reclamation and Corporation and therefore sought for certain orders from the Government .
3. The Government after careful consideration of the proposals of the Chairperson, Teachers Recruitment Board accept them and pass the following orders in partial modification of the orders in the G.O. second read above:-
i) The rules and procedure approved in G.O.(MS) No.16, School Education, dt. 5.2.2002 for recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants in Government. Higher Secondary Schools shall also apply to the post of Post Graduate Assistants of Higher Secondary Schools under the control of Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Kallar Reclamation and Chennai Corporation.
ii) The Examination fee shall be collected at the rate of Rs.200/- from Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates and at the rate of Rs.400/- from candidates under General category.
iii) The cost of Application be collected at the rate of Rs.100/- per form from the aspiring candidates.
iv) The Teachers Recruitment Board is permitted to have an objective type question paper with a total marks of 150 as detailed below;-
a) For the subject of M.A./M.Sc. / M.Com. / M.P.Ed. level suitable to Post Graduate Assistants as per syllabi already published in Gazette
- 120 marks
b) Education Methodology - 25 marks
c) General Knowledge - 5 marks

v) The Teachers Recruitment Board is permitted to operate a separate Bank Account with the IOB, E.V.K. Sampath Maaligai so as to deposit Application and Examination fees collected from students and to meet out the Expenditure relating to recruitment.
vi) The Teachers Recruitment Board is permitted to engage Computer Software Company as per need.
