ABSTRACT Tsunami - Relief and Rehabilitation - World Bank aided Emergency Tsunami Reconstruction Project (ETRP) and Asian Development Bank assisted Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project (TEAP) - Constitution of an Empowered Committee for Speedy implementation - Formation of a Sub Committee for issuing minor modification in proposals already approved by the Empowered Committee- Orders issued. Officer on Special Duty (RR) and Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) D.O.Lr.No.TRR-EAP1/ 81881 / 2006, dated 10.11.2006. ****** ORDER: In the G.O. first read above, the Government constituted an Empowered Committee to clear the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project (TEAP) projects to be implemented with the Asian Development Bank assistance and Emergency Tsunami Reconstruction Project (ETRP) to be implemented with the World Bank Assistance. 2. In the course of the meeting of the Empowered Committee, held on 26.10.2006, it was suggested by the Project Director (ETRP & TEAP) that where Government orders have already been issued after approval by the Empowered Committee, for minor changes and modifications a sub-Committee consisting of the Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) the Head of Department concerned and a representative from the Finance Department may be authorized to verify the proposal and approve the same and that based on the approval by the sub-Committee a revised Government Letter/Order may be issued. The Empowered Committee may be apprised of such decisions subsequently. 3. The Empowered Committee approved the above proposal. 4. The Government, after careful examination, accept the decision of the Empowered Committee and direct that a sub-Committee consisting of the (i) Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) (ii) Head of Department concerned and (iii) Representative from Finance Department be formed for the issuance of minor modifications to the G.Os. already issued based on the approval of the Empowered Committee during its meetings and that orders issued thereon be placed before the Empowered Committee at its meeting convened immediately thereafter.
