ORDER:

The Commissioner, Tiruvottiyur Municipal Corporation has   sought permission for appointment of 1 wireman and 1 helper temporarily from October 2006 to March 2007 to look after the electrical maintenance work and to sanction Rs.1,47,180/- for the payment of salary to the wire man and the helper at the Celcrete factory site where tsunami victims were provided temporary shelters.  

2.  The Collector of Chennai and the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration have recommended the above proposal to Government for placing the same before the State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes for conservation.

3.  The Committee in its meeting held on 26.10.06 has approved the above proposal. The Government accept the decision of the State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes and permission is hereby granted  for appointment of one Wiremen and one Helper temporarily for a period from October 2006 to March 2007 to look after the electrical maintenance work on the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Celcrete Factory site at Ernavur where tsunami affected victims were provided with temporary shelters.

4.  Sanction is hereby accorded for Rs.1,47,180/- (Rupees One lakh forty seven thousand one hundred and eighty only) towards payment of salary for the above temporary staff and  for purchase of electrical goods.

5.  The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 4 above shall be debited to the following  head of account " 2245 Relief on account of Natural Calamities 80 General 800 Other Expenditure I - Non Plan AB - Assistance for undertaking relief works in Tsunami affected areas - 09 Grants in aid - 01 Grants for current Expenditure (DPC-2245-80-800-AB-0918)".

6.  The Government also ratify the action of the Commissioner, Tiruvottiyur Municipality in having appointed  the temporary staff, if any, from October 2006 in anticipation of approval of the Government.

7.  Necessary funds will be provided in RE/FMA 2006-07. Pending provision of such funds, the SC&CRA is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in paragraph 4 as per the existing procedure to the Collector of Chennai and he is requested to send the Utilization Certificate to the Accountant General/Government.

8.  The Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration is requested to include the above expenditure while sending RE/FMA Proposal for 2006-07 without fail.

9.   This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.70396/Finance (Revenue)/06, dated 15.11.06 and ASL No.941 (Nine Hundred and Forty one).
