Minutes of the State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes meeting held on 26.10.2006. ***** ORDER: In the G.O. first read, sanction was accorded for Rs.23.20 crores towards the purchase of lands for construction of Permanent houses and other infra-structure in the Tsunami affected areas out of which a sum of Rs.10 crores was allotted to Nagapattinam District. In the G.O. Second read above an additional amount of Rs.20 crores was sanctioned. 2. In the letter second read above the Collector, Nagapattinam has now sent proposal for sanction of additional amount of Rs.3,55,43,571/- after adjusting the balance amount already available from the earlier sanction for acquisition of land for construction of houses for the tsunami affected families. 3. The Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration has recommended the proposal of the Collector of Nagapattinam for placing before the State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes for consideration. 4. The State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes in its meeting held on 26.10.06 has approved the proposal of the Collector of Nagapattinam for sanction of additional amount of Rs.3,56,00,000/- for the purchase of lands for the construction permanent houses to Tsunami affected families in Nagapattinam District. 5. The Government accept the decision of the State Level Committee on Calamities Relief Fund Schemes and accordingly sanction an additional sum of Rs.3,56,00,000/- (Rupees Three crores and fifty six lakhs only) from the Calamities Relief Fund towards the purchase of lands for the construction of permanent houses to Tsunami affected families in Nagapattinam District. 6. The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 5 above shall be debited to the following head of account " 2245 Relief an account of Natural Calamities 80 - General - 800 - Other expenditure I Non Plan - AB - Assistance for undertaking relief works in Tsunami affected areas - 09 - Grants in aid - 01 grants for current expenditure (DPC - 2245 - 80 - 800 - AB - 0918) ". 7. Necessary funds will be provided in RE/FMA 2006-07. Pending provision of funds, the Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration is hereby authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in paragraph 5 above as per the existing procedure to the Collector of Nagapattinam and he is requested to send the utilization certificate to the Accountant General/Government. The expenditure should be brought to the notice of legislative by specific inclusion in the S E 2006-07. 8. The Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration is also requested to include the above expenditure which sending RE/FMA proposal for 2006-07 without fail. 9.
