ORDER:

In the Government order first read above orders have been issued for sanction of Rs.25,000/- to Tsunami affected persons who undergo recanalisation operation at Private Hospitals, as they lost their children in tsunami.

2. The Collector, Chennai in his proposal has stated that two sons viz., Thiru. Anand (24 years) and Thiru. Santhosh (21 years), of Thiru. Sathyaseelan and Tmt. Leelavathi died in Tsunami 2004.  He has also stated that Tmt. Leelavathi had gone to the C.M.C. hospital to undergo recanalisation operation where it was found that only 20% of the operation will be beneficial as already 17 years has lapsed since the individual had undergone family planning operation and the chance of conceiving a child was less.  He has also reported that the operation was not performed and a sum of Rs.10,102/- was incurred towards the preliminary operation / diagnosis procedures.  Hence, the Collector of Chennai has requested to sanction Rs.10,102/- towards reimbursement of the hospital expenses as per the G.O first read above.

3. The Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration has recommended the above proposal for placing before the State Level Committee on Calamity Relief Fund Schemes for consideration.

4. The Committee, in its meeting held on 26.20.2006 approved the proposal of the Collector of Chennai as recommended by the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner Revenue Administration, for sanction of Rs.10,102/- to Tmt. Leelavathi, W/o. Sathyaseelan for reimbursement of hospital expenses incurred in connection with primary operation specified as ‘reproductive procedure’.

5. The Government accept the decision of the State Level Committee on Calamity Relief Fund scheme and accordingly, sanction a sum of Rs.10,102/- (Rupees Ten thousand one hundred and two only) from the Calamity Relief Fund towards the reimbursement of hospital expenses incurred in connection with primary operation specified as ‘reproductive procedure’ to Tmt. Leelavathi, W/o. Sathyaseelan.

6. The Expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above debited under the following Head of Account:-

  “2245 Relief on account of Natural Calamities – 80 General  800 – Other Expenditure – I Non-plan AB Assistance for undertaking relief works in Tsunami affected areas – 09 Grants in Aid –01 Grants for current Expenditure

(DPC 2245-80-800 AB 0918)”

7. Necessary funds will be provided in RE/FMA 2006-2007, Pending provision of such funds, the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration is hereby authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 4 above as per the existing procedure to the Collector of Chennai and he is requested to send the utilization certificate to the Accountant General / Government.

8. The Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration is requested to include the above said expenditure while sending RE/FMA proposal for 2006-2007 without fail.

9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.69280/Fin (Revenue Department)/06-1 dated 6.11.2006 and ASL No.887.
