ABSTRACT Tsunami – Relief and Rehabilitation – Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project (TEAP) - Execution of schemes with Asian Development Bank assistance - Rehabilitation of Tsunami affected areas in Town Panchayats Livelihood Component - Funds for the year 2006-07 - Rs.6.385 Crores - Sanctioned -Orders - Issued. Revenue (NC.IV.1) Department G.O.Ms.No.586 Read: 1. G.O.No.781, Revenue (NC IV (1) Department, dated 30.12.2005 2. From the Director of Town Panchayats, D.O. Letter No.13097/2006/E1, Dated 4.8.06. **** ORDER: In the Government order first read above, the Government have issued orders according administrative sanction for a sum of Rs.12,43,50,000/- (Rupees twelve crores forty three lakhs and fifty thousand only) for the implementation of Livelihood Programmes in the Tsunami affected Town Panchayats by the Director of Town Panchayats and released a sum of Rs.5.00 crores under "Major Works" and Rs.50.00 lakhs under "Training Programme" for the year 2005-06. 2. Now the Director of Town Panchayats has stated that out of the above sum of Rs.5.00 Crores, a sum of Rs.4.00 Crores has been utilised and requested to release a further sum of Rs.6.358 Crores to implement the Livelihood Programme under "Major Works". He has further requested to accord permission to draw and deposit the same in the Savings Bank Account maintained for the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project amount as indicated in G.O.Ms.No.27, Rural Development (OGS II) Department, Dated: 8.3.2006 and to utilise the same as and when required. 3. The Government after careful examination accept the request of the Director of Town Panchayats and sanction a further sum of Rs.6.358 Crores (Rupees Six crore thirty five lakhs and eighty thousand only) for implementation of livelhood programme in the Tsunami affected Town Panchayats. Permission is also hereby granted to Director of Town Panchayats to draw and deposit the same in the Savings Account maintained for the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project amount as indicated in G.O.Ms.No.27, Rural Development (OGS II) Department, dated 8.3.2006 and to utilise the same as and when required. 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to following head of account:- LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMME - MAJOR WORKS "4515. Capital outlay on other Rural Development Programmes - 00. Capital Outlay on other Rural Development Programmes - 103. Rural Development - II. State Plan - RB. Works under Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project (TEAP) with assistance from Asian Development Bank - Special Village Panchayats - Livelihood Programme - 16.00 Major Works". (DPC4515-00-103-RB-1600).... Rs.6.358 Crores. 5. Other conditions prescribed for implementation of the scheme in the Government Order first read above shall be followed scrupulously. 6.
