Officer on Special Duty (Relief and Rehabilitation)Do.Lr.No.TRR-EAP1\52820/06, dated:21.07.06. ---- ORDER: Government in the order second read above, have sanctioned one post of Engineering Specialist / Superintendenting Engineer in the scale of pay of Rs.14300-400-18300/Consolidated pay of Rs.35,000/- p.m. to be filled up on deputation/contract to the Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, Rural Development Department, Chennai for a period of one year among others. Accordingly Thiru.R.Rathinaraj, retired Chief Engineer was appointed as Engineering Specialist on contract basis and his pay was fixed as Rs.20000/- per months taking into account of Last Pay Drawn minus Pension. 2. The Project Implementation Officer has sent a proposal requesting to sanction a Special Allowance of Rs.9000/- P.M. to Thiru.R.Rathinaraj, Engineering Specialist appointed on contract basis which includes Telephone usage charges/Conveyance Allowance/ Medical Allowance. He has further recommended for giving TA to Engineering Specialist as admissible to Group A officers. 3. The Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) placed the above proposal before the 6th Empowered Committee meeting held on 11.7.2006 and the Empowered Committee approved the same. 4. Government after careful consideration accept the decision of the Empowered Committee and accordingly sanction a Special Allowance of Rs.9000/- p.m. (Rupees Nine Thousand only) to Thiru.R.Rathinaraj, (Retired Chief Engineer) Engineering Specialist appointed on contract basis. He is eligible to claim the above benefits from the date of his joining as Engineering Specialist in Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai. 5. The expenditure sanctioned above shall be debitable to the following head of accounts:- I. Special Allowance: "2515 – Other Rural Development Programmes –00-Other Rural Development Programmes –102 – Community Development –II State Plan – RC – Asian Development Bank assisted scheme under Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project – TEAP – Project Management Unit – Rural Development.-01-04- Other allowances." (DPC No.2515-00-102-RC-0141) II. Tour Travelling Allowance "2515 – Other Rural Development Programmes –00-Other Rural Development Programmes –102 – Community Development –II State Plan – RC – Asian Development Bank assisted scheme under Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project – TEAP – Project Management Unit – Rural Development.-04-01- Tour Travelling allowances." In case of travel outside Chennai, the "Engineering Specialist" is eligible to draw Travelling Allowance at the rate applicable to Grade "A" Officers of Tamil Nadu Government. 7.
