Officer on Special Duty (Relief and Rehabilitation), D.O. Lr.No.TRR-EAP-1/52820/06, dated 21.7.06. **** ORDER: In the G.O. first read above, Government have permitted the Project Implementation Officer, Rural Development Department to hire Vehicles at the rate not exceeding Rs.800/- per day as and when necessary. 2. The Project Implementation Officer has requested to lift the above restriction in view of the necessity for undertaking extensive travel both within Chennai and in the Districts. The Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) placed the above proposal before the Empowered Committee meeting held on 11.7.06. The Empowered Committee observed that the vehicle charges shall be fixed at Rs.1000/- per day instead of Rs.800/- already approved. 3. The Government after careful examination accept the decision of the Empowered Committee and accordingly permit the Project Implementation Officer to hire Vehicles at the rate not exceeding Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) per day per vehicle as and when necessary without exceeding the budgetary provision. 4.
