ORDER:

In the Government order first read above, the Government have accorded sanction for a sum of Rs.53.20 Crores for providing basic amenities in the new habitations where permanent houses are being constructed in Nagapattinam and Cuddalore districts and released a sum of Rs.16.11 crores for 2005-06.

2. Now the Project Implementation Officer, Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, Rural Development Department, Chennai has sent proposals to release the balance amount of Rs.37.09 Crores for the completion of works for 2006-07.

3. The Government after careful examination accept the recommendation of the Project Implementation Officer, Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, and sanction the balance amount of Rs.37.09 Crores (Rupees thirty seven crores and nine lakhs only) towards provision of basic amenities in the new habitations where permanent houses are being constructed in Nagapattinam and Cuddalore district.

4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to following head of account:-

"4216 - Capital outlay on Housing – 03 – Rural Housing – 800 Other Expenditure – II State Plan – QA Works under Emergency Tsunami Reconstruction Project (ETRP) with assistance from World Bank – Rural Development Department – Housing – 16.00 Major works."

(DPC 4216 03 800 QA 1604) ..... Rs.37.09 Crores.

5. The Project Implementation Officer, Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, Rural Development Department, Chennai is authorized to draw the amount sanctioned in paragraph 4 and disburse to the District Implementation Units.

6. Other conditions prescribed for implementation of the scheme in the Government Order second read above be followed scrupulously.

7. The Project Implementation Officer shall also obtain the Utilisation Certificate from the districts/implementing authorities and send it to Accountant General under intimation to Rural Development /Revenue Department.

8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.44458/RD/2006, dated 28.7.2006.
