ORDER:-

In the G.O. second read above, the Government have sanctioned for appointment of the additional staff for Technical wing for the directorate of Town Panchayats upto 20.12.2006 in consonance with the staff sanctioned in the G.O. first read above for execution of schemes with Asian Development Bank assistance in the tsunami affected areas.

2. In the G.O. third read above, the Government sanctioned continuance of staff for a further period of one year till 20.12.2007.

3. Now the Director of Town Panchayats has requested to accord sanction for continuance of additional staff for Technical wing for Directorate of Town Panchayats sanctioned in the G.O. second read above for a further period of one year from 20.12.2006 as mentioned in the Annexure to this order.

4. In the circumstances stated above, the Government accept the recommendation of the Director of Town Panchayats and accord sanction for the further continuance of the additional staff for Technical wing for Directorate of Town Panchayats as mentioned in the Annexure to this order for a further period of one year beyond 20.12.2006 at a cost of Rs.32,04,000/- (Rupees Thirty two lakhs and four thousand only) towards the salary and other allowances.

5. The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 4 above, shall be debited to the following head of account:-

"2515 - 00 - Other Rural Development Programme - 102. Community Development - II State Plan - RB. Asian Development Bank assisted scheme under Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project (TEAP) - Town Panchayats - Livelihood Programme - 01. Salaries."

6. The Government also ratify the action of the Director of Town Panchayats in having retained the additional staff for Technical wing to the Directorate of Town Panchayats beyond 20.12.2006 in anticipation of approval of the Government.

7. The Directorate of Town Panchayats is requested to send proposal for continuance of staff and additional staff both put together in future if need be.

8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O. No.26197/Finance (MAWS)/07, Dated: 7.5.2007.
