2. From the Director of Town Panchayats, D.O.Letter No.13097/2006/E1, Dated 13.9.2006.

In the Government order first read above, additional posts were sanctioned for implementing relief and rehabilitation works in the Tsunami affected Town Panchayats under Asian Development Bank assisted Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project.

2. Now, the Director of Town Panchayats has stated that a sum of Rs.75.66 lakhs (Rupees seventy five lakhs and sixty six thousand only) has been allocated in the Demand No.34 for BE 2006-07 towards Salaries and other allowances for the Directorate of Town Panchayats. He has further stated that the above sum has to be drawn from the State Funds and deposited in the SB Account maintained for the TEAP in which the Project Fund is kept as instructed in the G.O.Ms.No.27, Rural Development Department, dated 8.3.2006. He has, therefore, requested to issue orders for the drawal of the above allocated amount viz. Rs.75.66 lakhs for utilizing towards the payment of salaries and allowances to the staff employed under TEAP during 2006-07.

The Government after careful examination accept the request of the Director of Town Panchayats and sanction a sum of Rs.75.66 lakhs (Rupees Seventy five lakhs and sixty six thousand only) towards Salaries and other allowances to the staff employed under TEAP during 2006-07.for implementation of livelihood training programme in the Tsunami affected Town Panchayats.

4. Permission is also hereby granted to Director of Town Panchayats to draw and deposit the same in the Savings Account maintained for the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project amount as indicated in G.O.Ms.No.27, Rural Development (OGS II) Department, dated 8.3.2006 and to utilise the same as and when required.

5. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to following head of account:-

6. Other conditions prescribed for implementation of the scheme in the Government Order first read above shall be followed scrupulously.

7. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.80727 / MA&WS / 2006,dated 4.1.2007.
