I am directed to invite attention to your letter cited.
2.Your proposl to issue necessary amendment to G.O(Ms).No.471, Finance, dated 23-5-1989 to prescribe age limit of 21 years and 18 years for the death victims of males and females respectively under the Accident Relief Scheme so as to enable their legal heirs to get relief under the scheme has been examined by the Government. The poor occupational categories engaged in the works indicated in the above scheme alone are getting benefit under the scheme. The poor occupational categories include children also. (Carpenter, Blacksmith, basketn maker and washerman etc,) . I am therefore to inform you that no age limit is necessary for the legal heirs of the poor occupational categories included in the Accident Relief Scheme to get relief under the Scheme.
