In exercises of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Irrigation (Levy of Betterment contribution ) Amendement Act, 2000 (Tamil Nadu Act 46 of 2000) the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the 1st july 2001 as the data on which the said Act shall come into force.
