In G.O. Ms.No. 48, Revenue, dt. 27.1.2003, in para 2(I), a sum of Rs.100/- lakhs has been sanctioned to Coimbatore district to tackle the drinking water crisis as follows:-

2. For the word "Municipality" found under Coimbatore in Serial No-3 in para 2(i) in G.O.Ms.No. 48, Revenue, dt. 27.1.2003 the words "Municipal Limits" shall be substituted.
