(R&R) and Projector Director(ETRP/TEAP) D.O.Lr.No.TRR3/4597/06 dated: 09.03.2006 ******* ORDER: In the G.O first read above, orders have been issued according administrative sanction for the implementation of the Emergency Tsunami Reconstruction Project (ETRP) with World Bank assistance at a cost of Rs.1852.74 crores for housing reconstruction, Restoration of livelihood, repairs/reconstruction of public buildings, providing technical assistance and training and implementation support for tsunami affected victims and buildings. 2) In the G.O second read above the Government have constituted an Empowered Committee to clear the projects to be implemented with the World Bank assistance sanctioned in the G.O first read above. 3) The Director of Environment submitted proposals for conducting awareness workshops/seminars/programmes on Coastal Regulation Zone(CRZ) issues to field level functionaries of Government and Non-Governmental agencies in Coastal Districts of Tamil Nadu for a total sum of Rs.5.20 lakhs. The Officer on Special Duty (R&R) and Project Director (ETRP and TEAP) placed the same before the Empowered Committee meeting held on 02.03.2006. The Empowered Committee approved the proposal submitted by the Director of Environment, Chennai, however restricted the working lunch and refreshment cost at Rs.100/- per person instead of Rs.150/- per person/per day. 4. The Government, after careful consideration accept the decision of the Empowered Committee and accordingly, sanction a sum of Rs.4.84 lakhs (Rupees four lakhs and eighty four thousand only) for conducting awareness workshops / seminars / programmes on CRZ issues through Non-Governmental Organisations working for rehabilitation of the affected communities in the Coastal Districts of Tamil Nadu with the World Bank assistance.5. The Director of Environment, Chennai is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in paragraph 4 above as per the existing procedure and send the Statement of Expenditure, Utilisation Certificate and Progress Reports as laid down by World Bank in consultation with the Project Director (ETRP and TEAP). 7.
