ORDER:

The Chief Secretary, Government of Mizoram has come forward to supply bamboos for the construction of shelters to the Tsunami affected areas. The Relief Commissioner has sent the requirement to the Government of Mizoram viz., 60,000 mamboos at 10"length and 30,000 bamboos at 12’ length.

2. In the letter read above, the Officer on Special Duty (Relief and Rehabilitation) Revenue Administration Disaster Management and Mitigation Department , Chennai-5 has mentioned that the Government of Mizoram has requested to send an Officer from the State to Mizoram to co-ordinate the arrangements for transporting the bamboos to Tamil Nadu. The Officer on Special has suggested that Thiru Lal Rawna Sailo, IAS. Secretary to Government, Housing and Urban Development Department may be deputed to Mizoram for this purpose.

3. The Government approve the nomination made by the OSD ,(Relief and Rehabilitation), Revenue Administration, Disaster Management and Mitigation Department, Chennai-5 and permit Thiru Lal Rawna Sailo, IAS., Secretary to Government, Housing and Urban Development Department to go to Mizoram for one week to co-ordinate the arrangements for transporting the bamboos to Tamil Nadu.

4. The absence of the above officer from Headquarters on the above tour shall be treated as on duty and he is eligible to draw TA/DA as per the orders in force.

5. This order does not require the concurrence of the Finance Department.
