 APPENDIX

NOTIFICATION 

WHEREAS, the State  Government  is empowered under clause(k) of sub-section S(1) of section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Money Lenders Act, 1957 (Tamil Nadu Act 26 of d1957) to notify any financial institution for the purpose of sub-section (1) of the said section 2:

AND WHEREAS, the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956;(Central Act 1 of 1956)  and having its registered office at Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Towers, Bandra-kuria Complex, Mumbai -'400 051, INDIA   and zonal office at 1, Cenetaph  Road, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 018 is a financial institution for the purposes of  Clause (k) of sub-section (1) of the said section 2; 

NOW THEREFORE, under clause (k) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Money-Lenders Act, 1957 (Tamil Nadu Act 26 of 1957) the Governor of  Tamil Nadu hereby  notifies the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Limited as a bank for the purposes of sub-section (1) of the said section 2.
