ORDER:-

Honourable Chief Minister has announced on the floor of the Legislative Assembly on 28.3.2003, to the effect that as a measure of relief to the Agriculturists on the declaration of 28 districts except Chennai as drought affected districts, the land Revenue for the Fasli year 1412 i.e from July 2002 to June 2003 including Local Cess and Local Cess Surcharge amounting to about Rs 50 Crores (Rupees Fifity Crores only) would be fully waived in the entire State of Tamil Nadu.

2.  In pursuance of the announcement made by the Honourable Chief Minister on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, the Government direct that remission of Land Revenue including Local Cess and Local Cess Surcharge be given in the entire State of Tamil Nadu except Chennai in respect of current year i.e Fasli 1412.  The amount if any already paid by the ryots shall be adjusted against their dues from them in the next year.

3.  This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O No. 1381/FS/P/03, dated 10.4.2003.
