ORDER:
In the Government Order fourth read above, orders were issued enhancing the financial assistance given to the cases of death due to Natural Calamities like cyclone, flood, lightning, thunder and fire from Rs.20,000/- to Rs.10,000/-.
2) In Accident Relief Scheme, the financial assistance of Rs.15,000/- is being given to the bereaved families of accident victims.
3) The Government consider that the same amount of relief given to the bereaved families of accident victims may be given to the families of the victims of the Natural Calamities like cyclone, flood, lightning, thunder and fire. They accordingly, direct that the financial assistance of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) given to the families of the victims of the Natural Calamities like cyclone, flood, lightning, thunder and fire be enhanced to Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand only).
4)They also direct that this enhanced financial assistance ordered in para 3 above shall come into force with effect from 16.10.96.
- 1) The expenditure should be debited under the head of account "2245 - Relief on account of Natural Calamities - 002, Floods, Cyclones etc., III Ex-gratia payments to be bereaved families - I Non-Plan (Items eligible for assistance from the Union Government) AA Ex-gratia payment to bereaved family in flood affected areas - D.P.Code No.2245 02 III AA 0004-AB Ex-gratia payment to bereaved family of the deceased (D.P.Code 2245 02 III AB 002)".
- 2) This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.Note No.4417/FS/P/96, Dated 22.10.96)
