In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Amendment) Act, 2007 (Tamil Nadu Act 16 of 2007), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the 8^th day of June 2007 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.
