From the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Limited Lr.No.VRI/2006, dated 9.12.2006.***** ORDER: In the G.O. read above, the Government have appointed Chairman and Co-Chairman to the Governing Body of The Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre dispensing with the post of the erstwhile President. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Limited stressed the need to clearly delineate the roles and responsibilities of the Chairman and Co-Chairman as pre the existing provisions of Bye laws of the Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre. The Provisions of Bye law of Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre "The President will normally preside over the meetings of the Council and the General Body. The President shall have powers to appoint and take disciplinary action with respect to any employee as per service rules". 2. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Limited has proposed the following delineation in view of the reconstitution of Governing Body Council of the Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre. 3. The Chairman may be given honorary role and advisory capacity. The Chairman may preside over the Governing body and the Annual General Body Meeting. As regards the powers to appoint and take disciplinary action against employees as per the Service Rules, powers can be vested with the Co-Chairman. The Co-Chairman along with the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre (General Manager, TNCDW) can have the following executive powers and be responsible for day to day administration of Tamil Nadu Voluntary Resource Centre. Formulating project proposals and official correspondence with the Government and other External Agencies can be the responsibility of the Co-Chairman. 4. The Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Limited, pass the following orders, in modification of orders issued in the Government Order read above.
