ORDER:

In the G.O first read above the Government have sanctioned a sum of Rs.3.00 Crores for the Socio Economic Development of Naxalite affected villages in Krishnagiri District for the year 2004 - 2005.

2. In the G.O 3rd read above, a sum of Rs.3.00 Crores was sanctioned to Krishnagiri District under Socio Economic Development Programme as detailed below:

i) Rs.1.25 crores for Krishnagiri District over and above the allotment already made for it from the provisions available under "Maintenance of Roads" under Highways Department. (all categories).

ii) Additional allotment of Rs.75 lakhs (including rice) under SGRY (Regular) for funding infrastructure items.

iii) An amount of Rs.50.00 lakhs was sanctioned already by Government in the letter second read above, for other activities. Government agreed to provide an additional amount of Rs.50.00 lakhs pending Revised Estimates to fund such activities.

3) The Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in his letters 4th and 5th read above had sent proposal to Government for release of Rs. 50.00 lakhs provided in Budget Estimate 2006-07 to implement Socio Economic Development Scheme in Krishnagiri District as per the action plan.

4) The Government have examined the matter carefully and decided to accept the proposal of the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. Accordingly, the Government accord sanction for releasing a sum of Rs.50.00 lakhs (Rupees fifty lakhs only) for implementation of Socio Economic Development Programme in Krishnagiri District for the year 2006 -2007 as per the Action Plan annexed to this order.

5) The Expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to the following head of account:

"2515-00-Other Rural Development Programmes - 102 . Community Development - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II State Plan KM Programme for Comprehensive Development in Krishnagiri District 09 - Grants in Aid - 02 - Grant for Capital Expenditure"

6) The Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj is authorized to draw and incur the expenditure sanctioned in para 4 above and disburses it to the Collector, Krishnagiri District.

7) The Collector of Krishnagiri District shall furnish the utilization certificate, in the prescribed format periodically to the Government in Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department, Planning Development & Special Initiative, Finance Department & Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Chennai.

8) The Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj shall monitor the progress of implementation of the scheme and ensure Maintenance of the registers on creation of assets etc., as indicated in TNFC Vol -1.

9) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O No. 7492/RD/07, dated 12.2.07.
