G.O Ms No. 11 Dated 6.2.2007 of Rural Development Dept, Tamil Nadu, India

In the Government Order first read above, Government have sanctioned a sum of Rs.64544.70 lakhs as devolution fund of State Finance Commission grant to Rural Local Bodies for the months from April 2006 to January 2007.

2. The Director of Rural Development, in his letter 2^nd read above, has now requested the Government to release a sum of Rs.42009.61 lakhs as devolution fund of State Finance Commission grant for the months of February 2007 and March 2007 to Village Panchayats, Panchayat Unions and District Panchayats, as detailed below:-

Village Panchayats	Rs.197.45 crores (19744.53 lakhs)
Panchayat Unions	Rs.189.04 crores (18904.34 lakhs)
District Panchayats	Rs. 33.60 crores (3360.74 Lakhs)
Total	Rs. 420.09 crores (42009.61 Lakhs)

3. The Government have carefully examined the above proposal of the Director of Rural Development and have decided to release the devolution fund of State Finance Commission grant for Rural Local Bodies for the months of February 2007 and March 2007 and accordingly sanction a sum of Rs.42009.61 lakhs (Rupees Four hundred twenty crores, nine lakhs and sixty one thousand only), as detailed below:

Village Panchayats	Rs.197.45 crores (19744.52 lakhs)
Panchayat Unions	Rs.189.04 crores (18904.34 lakhs)
District Panchayats	Rs. 33.60 crores (3360.75 Lakhs)
Total	Rs. 420.09 crores (42009.61 Lakhs)

4. The amount sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of accounts.

Grants-in-aid-02. Grants for Capital Expenditure (DPC 3604-00-197-AA-0929)	18904.34
Village Panchayats : 3604-00-Compensation and Assignments to Local Bodies and Panchayat Raj Institutions 198-Assistance to Gram Panchayats - 1 Non Plan-AA-Grants to Village Panchayats as per the recommendation of State Finance Commission controlled by Director of Rural Development-09. Grants-in-aid -02 Grant for Capital expenditure (DPC 3604-00-198-AA-0927)	19744.52

5. The Director of Rural Development is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 4 above to the Rural Local Bodies for the months of February 2007 and March 2007.

6. The Director of Rural Development is also requested to make necessary adjustments / deductions for committed expenditure such as pension contribution, electricity charges etc., while distributing the amount sanctioned in para 3 above to the concerned Rural Local Bodies following the orders issued in this regard by the Government, after duly reconciling the amount to be deducted with concerned local bodies / Heads of Departments.

7. The Pay and Accounts Officer / Treasury Officers concerned are requested to admit and honour the bills as and when presented by the Director of Rural Development, if they are found otherwise in order.

8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.81564 / Fin.(RD) / 06, dated 29.1.2007.
