ABSTRACT Rural Development - Budget for 2005-06 -"Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Programme" - Implementation - Release of Rs.20.00 crores - Orders - Issued. Ms. No.22, Rural Development (SGSY) Department, dated 25.2.2005. Read: 3.From the Director of Rural Development letter No.19298 / 2004 / S.S.3, dated 5.5.2005. * * * * * Order: In the G.O first read above, guidelines were issued for implementation of new programme called Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Programme during 2004-05 and a sum of Rs.5.00 crores was sanctioned in the G.O second read above for the implementation of the said programme. 2. The Director of Rural Development in his letter third read above has stated that for upliftment of Ultra Poor under Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Programme, a sum of Rs.20.00 crores has been provided in the budget for 2005-06 and has requested orders of the Government to release the amount. 3. The Government have examined the proposal and they accept the request of the Director of Rural Development. Accordingly sanction is hereby accorded for the release of Rs.20.00 crores (Rupees twenty crores only) provided in Budget 2005-06. The Director of Rural Development is authorized to disburse the fund sanctioned above to the Districts in Tamil Nadu for implementation of the Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Programme. 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- "2235-Social Security and Welfare-60-Other Social Security and Welfare Programme- 200. Other Programmes - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II. State Plan -JT-Poverty Reduction Programme-09. Grants-in-aid-03. Grants for Specific schemes." (DPC No.2235.60-200-JT.0939) 5. The Director of Rural Development shall monitor the implementation of the programme and report on the implementation of the programe along with progress of achievement on both physical and financial targets to Government, periodically. 6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O. No.113 / DS (AV) / 2005, dated 17.6.2005. (By Order of the Governor) Santha
