From the Engineer-in-Chief,Water Resources Organisation,and Chief Engineer (General) Public Works Department letter No.S7(1)/55163-1/2007 Dated 9-5-2007. ORDER: The Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Organisation, and Chief Engineer (General) Public Works Department, in his letter second read above, has stated that the Lower Bhavani Project Park (12.50 Acres) is located in front of Lower Bhavani Dam adjacent to right bank of Bhavani River and functioning from the commencement of L.B.P Dam (from 1955) and the estimate provisions have been made (i) to raise the low lying areas and planting Korean grass lawns for beautification of Park, (ii) to extend side portion of the children boat pond in both the sides, (iii) to provide cement paver blocks to the Pavement of foot paths in park and (iv) to provide statues for beautification of Park . He has also stated that by implementing this Schemes, the more Public and Tourist will be attracted and also would help to protect the environment. The revenue receipt will also increase considerably from collection of entrance fee and requested to accord administrative sanction for the above scheme to the total cost of Rs.65.00 lakhs. 2. The overall sanction for providing infrastructure facilities and improvements of parks areas in the Dam sites of Sathanur, krishnagiri, Bhavanisagar, Mettur and Kelavarapalli are Rs.250 lakhs. The above five schemes have been approved by the Standing Finance Committee under Part-II Schemes for 2007-2008 with an overall ultimate cost of Rs.250 lakhs. Therefore the Government have restricted the amount requested by Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Organisation and Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department for this scheme to Rs. 60 lakhs instead of Rs.65 lakhs. 3. The Government, therefore, accord administrative sanction for providing infrastructure facilities and improvements to the Park areas in the Dam sites of Bhavanisagar in Sathyamangalam taluk of Erode District at an ultimate cost of Rs.60.00 lakhs (Rupees sixty lakhs only). 4. The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- "4701- Capital outlay on Major and Medium Irrigation - 03 Medium Irrigation - Commercial - 315 - Improvements and Beautification of Parks in and around Reservoirs in Tamil Nadu - Schemes in XI th Five year plan - II State Plan - JA - Improvements & Beautification of parks in and around Reservoirs in Tamil Nadu - 16 Major Works (4701 - 03 - 315 JA - 1602). 5. The Chief Engineer,Water Resources Organisation, Public Works Department, Pollachi Region, Coimbatore is requested to take up the work immediately and complete it within the time limit not exceeding administrative sanction approved in para 3 above . He is also requested to send the progress of work to the Government every month periodicaly 6. The Engineer-in-Chief is requested to revise the estimate to Rs.60 lakhs and send the same to Government for record. 7. This order issued with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.
