ABSTRACT Public Works Department – Irrigation Part-II Scheme for the year 2007-2008 Providing infrastructure facilities and Improvements to Park areas in the Dam sites of Kelavarapalli of Hosur Taluk in Krishnagiri District with an estimate amount of Rs.5.00 lakhs – Administrative sanction -Orders – Issued. No.175 From the Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Organisation and Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department Letter No.S7(1)/68809/2003-2, dated 19.5.2007 -o0o- ORDER; The Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Organisation and Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department, in his letter read above, has sent a detailed estimate for improvements to Park in Kelavarapalli Reservoir in Kelavarapalli village of Hosur Taluk in Krishnagiri District at an estimate amount of Rs.10.00 lakhs. He has stated that in this estimate provisions have been made for (i) to provide Soft Landscaping (planting of varieties of Plants), (ii) to construct overhead water tank, water supply and sanitary arrangements, (iii) to construct Rain shelter, etc He has also informed that by implementing this scheme, more public and tourists will be attracted and this would help to protect the environment. The revenue will also increase considerably from collection of entrance fee. 2. The overall sanction for providing infrastructure facilities and improvements to park areas in the Dam sites of Sathanur, Krishnagiri, Bhavanisagar, Mettur and Kelavarapalli are Rs. 250.00 lakhs. The above scheme has been approved by the Standing Finance Committee under Part II Schemes for the year 2007-08, with an overall estimate amount of Rs. 250.00 lakhs. As the total sanction for five parks is Rs. 250.00 lakhs, the Government restricts the estimate for Rs. 5 lakhs instead of Rs. 10 lakhs. 3. Therefore the Government accord administrative sanction for providing infrastructure facilities and improvements to park areas in the Dam sites of Kelavarapalli in Hosur Taluk of Krishnagiri Districtat at an estimate amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs (Rupees five lakhs only). 4. The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- “4701 – Capital Outlay on Major and Medium Irrigation – 03. Medium Irrigation –Commercial.-315.- Improvements and Beautification of Parks in and around Reservoirs in Tamil Nadu – Schemes in the Eleventh Five Year Plan – II. State Plan – JA –Improvements and Beautification of Parks in and around Reservoirs in Tamil Nadu-16. Major Works “ (D.P.Code 4701 03 315 JA 1602) 5. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Organisation, Public Works Department, Chennai Region is requested to take up the work immediately not exceeding the administrative sanction approved in para 3 above and complete it within the time limit. He is also requested to send the progress of work to the Government, every month periodically. 6. The Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Organisation and Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department is requested to revise the estimate to Rs.5 lakhs and send the same to Government for record. 7.
