ORDER:

          The World Bank in its Board meeting held on 20.6.1995 has approved a credit of SDR 181.9 million for Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project.

 

          2. In the Government Order first read above,  administrative sanction was accorded for implementation of Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project at a base cost of Rs.807.49 Crores comprising of various components.

 

          3.  The Empowered Committee on Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project  reconstituted in the Government Order second read above,  in its 22nd meeting held on 12.9.2000,  has approved the proposal for providing  shutters for cup boards and granite top for work benches , false ceiling etc., in the Central Laboratory for quality control at Taramani - Chennai at an estimated cost of Rs.5.82 lakhs after restricting the documentation charges from Rs.0.07 lakh to Rs.0.05 lakh and restricting the Labour Welfare Fund to the allowable limit of 0.3% i.e., from  Rs.0.18 lakh to Rs.0.018 lakh.   The details of the proposal are as follows:

i.       Name of the Work

Providing shutters for cup boards and granite top for work benches, false ceiling etc., in the Centrtal Laboratory for quality control at Taramani - Chennai -

ii.              Estimate of the 

         proposal

Rs.6 lakhs

iii.     SAR Provision

1722.24  lakhs

iv.    Amount cleared by  

          Empowered   

          Committee.

Rs.5.82  lakhs

 

          4.  The Government after careful examination accept the recommendation of the Empowered Committee and accord sanction to incur an expenditure of Rs.5.82 lakhs (Rupees Five  lakhs and eighty two  thousand only) for providing shutters for cup boards and granite top for work benches, false ceiling etc., in the Centrtal Laboratory for quality control at Taramani - Chennai.

 

          5.  The expenditure in this regard shall be debited to the head of Account '4701 - Capital Outlay on Major and Medium Irrigation - 80 General - 800 Other expenditure - Schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan - II. State Plan - PI  Strengthening of Institutional Offices under Water Resources Organisation   - 16. Major Works  . 19 Machinery and Equipments - 01. Purchase”   (DPC. No. 4701- 80. 800 - PI  1902).

 

6.    The Chief Engineer (DR & CS)  is directed to complete the work within the stipulated time and within the sanctioned amount.

 

          7.  This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.85096/PW.II/2000-1 dated 15.12.2000.
